Branding
Oops – somehow forgot to hit send on Tuesday, so today’s edition of Tuesday Timesaver Tips is here on Thursday!
Branding is one of those gray words. Only a few people understand what it truly means to brand their product, and mostly they think that it is only important for big brands or big companies.
This goes against the grain, but I’ve seen branding in action, and it is important for every. single. business!
Branding is when your customers recognize your product or service before they see your name and/or logo. Colors, design and writing style play a huge part in giving your customers a cohesive experience.
The best way for a small business to brand everything is to find a reasonably priced graphic designer and negotiate a package deal – logo, website, business cards, letterhead, signage (if a physical store), badges for stamping on electronic communication, etc. This works for startups and established businesses looking for a fresh look.
